When you’re an up-and-coming prospect, you get a lot of cards. When you’re named Rookie of the Year, you get even more cards! In 1994, Mike Piazza was issued a number of cards to commemorate his special achievement. And while many of you might remember the 1994 Rembrandt “Ultra Pro” version, the more popular official release ROY card is this simple 1994 Score edition featuring a young Dodger’s slugger at the beginning of what will become a Hall of Fame career.
“1994 Score is a 660-card set issued in two series of 330. Each pack contained one Gold Rush parallel card. The set was praised by collectors for its clean, modern design, navy blue borders, and glossy coating.”
