Now, I know, it might seem a bit old-fashioned to rely on fillable and printable spreadsheets for tracking your baseball card inventory. Yet, many collectors, both seasoned and new, find solace in the simplicity and familiarity of this method.

Pros

Customizable: One of the most significant advantages of using spreadsheets is the ability to tailor them to your specific needs. Whether you want to track the date of purchase, the condition of the card, or its current market value, you can set up columns that resonate with your collection’s unique characteristics.

Free: There’s sometimes no need to invest in fancy software or monthly subscriptions, especially if you’re comfortable with spreadsheets and data entry. Platforms like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel offer more than enough spreadsheet functionalities without any cost, especially if you already have them installed or accessible.

Easy to Get Started: For those familiar with basic spreadsheet operations, setting up an inventory is a breeze. Even if you’re a newbie, there are plenty of templates and tutorials available online to guide you through the process.

Portable and Printable: With cloud-based platforms like Google Sheets, you can access your inventory from any device, anywhere, as long as you have an internet connection. This is especially handy if you’re at the National, a local card show or shop and need to quickly reference your collection.
